50 Successful Job Seekers
by Gordon Nuttall
How do jobseekers define 'success' in this new economy
by gordon
The title of this blog is `Successful Jobseekers'. So, what is
'success' in the new economy? Is it landing a job just like the one I
had before, maybe above some threshold of money or status or vacation
time. Is success the relief of getting out of a bad job into one better
than before. Or, is it [click to continue...]

Welcome
by gordon
I am embarking on writing this 50Interviews book with the desire for it
to be an inspiration to those currently seeking jobs to see the light
at the end of the tunnel. This is not so much a "nuts and bolts" book
with a secret recipe of skills like resume writing, interviewing, etc.
There are many people far more qualified in those areas. Although
these interviews start out at the intellectual level with their past
employment and their new-found job, the questions dig into to the more
personal insights for jobseekers, encouraging reflections that are
unique to jobseekers on what the journey was like for them; unexpected
paths, people they met and things they learned, recounting the
emotional ups-and-downs, the influence of friends and family, and where
their new career has been transformational in their lives and the lives
of those around them.
Another community that this book may have an appeal to are life
coaches, pastors and other spiritual leaders, and mental health
help-providers to grasp the uniqueness of the jobseeking experience
which is comparable, and yet different, to divorce, loss of family
members, and other significant life changes.
Employers who are performing downsizing and layoffs may find this book
useful, perhaps to provide at the exit interview or as part of the job
finding resources they provide.
Workforce Centers may find this helpful to their clients.
There may evolve an accompanying set of materials comprising a handbook
on how to establish a networking organization in your local community
using an adopt-and-go from the established networking organizations
along the Front Range of northern Colorado.

Find other ZORGIUM pages using your favorite search engine:
Enter your search keyword(s) and the keyword "zorgium" into the search input field of
http://bing.com,
http://yahoo.com or
http://google.com.
Heads up: There's an ongoing spamdexing of Google searchbot algorithms. Sites that are 'copies of copies' and cloaked sites which include Zorgium keywords presented to search engine crawlers yet garbage content presented to human visitors were hosted on thousands of IP addresses and domains registered immediately after the introduction of Zorgium in November of 2009. The Hostgator/'The Planet'/Softlayer datacenters in Texas seem to be the epicenter of this activity in conjunction with anonymously registered domains of various TLD's but primarily .info domains at Godaddy which, in our opinion, has some sort of connection to the domains of goldmint.in and goldmint.org. Google has begun to notice this and has begun to lower the ranking of these sites and put our original sites back on top of the search rankings. These actions, as far as we can tell, negatively impact the use of the keyword 'zorgium' as a search term and provided little benefit, if any, to the perpetrators.
ZORGIUM note to content providers: If you don't want your page to appear in Zorgium's search abstraction then put an exclusion for "Zorgium" in your web server's robots.txt file.
